Near the Inn are opportunities for hiking, golfing, boating, water-skiing and bike riding. You will also view multitudes of wildlife and engage in possibly the best fly-fishing in California. During the winter the Inn offers immediate access to cross-country skiing, with downhill skiing and snowmobiling nearby. December is a favorite time for Christmas tree cutting.
In a “yet to be discovered” area, the Bidwell House is located on the southeastern slope of Mt. Lassen. Chester and its surrounding area are rich in the history of gold-mining, ranching and logging. The Inn provides a great resting spot between the great valley of California and points east.
